People's Exchange Community Agreement

Us, Stewards, have been hard at work figuring out policies and procedures to aid in the operation of our little community space. We've learned quite a few lessons in the last year and have gathered feedback that moved our Stewards to better define the use of our space and our role as Stewards. It's a community effort to keep this environment safe and welcoming for all. A few months ago we posted a draft of a community agreement on our white board seeking feedback from our larger community. The language below has been revised by our Stewards and formally adopted by our Board of Directors. For more information about this policy, please feel free to connect with a Steward.

People's Exchange Community Agreement

PEX was created because we believe people should have a safe and comfortable place to be, by being here you agree to keep the space safe and comfortable for others around you.

There are times when the building is not open to the public. Please respect when PEX is closed or being used for a private event.

PEX Stewards volunteer their time and energy to be here and can set boundaries at their own discretion in effort to keep the environment safe and comfortable for all.

If your behavior is harmful, disruptive or making others unreasonably uncomfortable, we may ask you to leave or set boundaries around your presence.
